WAAL Re$ale Shop
It breaks our hearts to have to post this, but we just don’t have any other choice. In February, we will be forced to close our Thrift Store in Towne West mall. This shop has brought in roughly $40,000 since we opened it several years ago, but the lack of traffic at the mall as well as the uncertainty of the mall’s utilities has forced us to finally throw up the flag.
This is obviously a very hard decision for us, but we have no other choice. At the current location it just doesn’t make sense for us to keep trying to stay open, and we simply can’t afford to move the shop elsewhere.
Our current plan is to keep the store open every Saturday from 11am-5pm through January and likely February to decrease the inventory we have left. We will not be accepting any more donations. We will be having some pretty spectacular sales to try to bring in as much money for the animals as we can before we finally close for good so, please stop by and shop if you can!
The reality is this loss of revenue for our lifesaving programs will hurt us. If anyone happens to have an empty super cheap storefront laying around, please let us know. (Yes, we know that we’d probably have a better shot finding a unicorn, but you never know!)
Thank you to everyone who has supported our store throughout the years! By donating goods or purchasing amazing finds, you have positively impacted so many lives through your kindness and generosity!
We truly appreciate you all….
