Welcome to WAAL’s Spay & Neuter Clinic application page. Thank you for helping fight pet overpopulation by getting your pet(s) spayed or neutered!
Our Spay It Forward program is intended for low-income families of Sedgwick County, Kansas.
At our clinics we will spay/neuter your pet, give them a rabies and distemper vaccine and microchip your pet and register the chip for you. We will also give your dog a nail trim.
A spay/neuter surgery copayment fee is required for these services.
Discounts to the copayment fee may be available and are based on multiple factors including but not limited to: total household income, zip code of your residence and dog breed (pit mixes). Any available discounts are applied by WAAL during processing of your application. The final copayment fee required will be communicated to you via email.
The range of copayment fees are:
Cats: $30 to $90
Dogs: $50 to $150
If your application is approved, you will receive an approval email that will include instructions for making the required copayment and scheduling your appointment. The approval email will also include two waivers that require your electronic signature before you can finalize your appointment date.
Please note that copayment fees are non-refundable should you cancel or fail to show up for your appointment. The forfeited copayments will be used towards other community assistance programs within our organization.
Due to surgery risks, the following dog and cat breeds are excluded from our SIF program and we will not perform surgery on them. Your application for any of these breeds will be denied.
DOGS: French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, Pekingese, Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, Xolas, Micro Bullies
CATS: Bengals, Sphynx, Exotic Shorthairs, Persians, Himalayans
We reserve the right to turn away any animal at the time of check if the animal is deemed too unhealthy, too small or too obese to undergo surgery. We will refund your copayment if this occurs.
Puppies and kittens must be 8 weeks of age and at least 3 pounds for spay and neuter surgeries.
You must complete a separate application for each individual animal when submitting applications for multiple animals.
Please allow up to 1 week for us to process your application.
If your application is denied, you will receive an email stating you have been denied for the program.
Please note that proof of answers to the following questions will be required.
