Founded in November of 2013, WAAL’s mission is to prevent and mitigate crises for animals, their owners, and our community by offering programs for people and their pets that are targeted at:
Proactively addressing pet overpopulation to reduce the strain on families and shelters. Providing education and support for responsible pet ownership, thereby empowering families to provide safe, loving environments for their pets. Foster and adoption placement of at-risk pets, ensuring that they find homes where they can bring joy and companionship. Helping families keep their pets, preventing unnecessary shelter surrenders and preserving the vital emotional support and well-being that pets provide to their owners.WAAL’s mission is to be there for the countless animals in the Wichita and surrounding area who are abused, neglected and abandoned each year.
