- If the animal is listed on the website, it is still available for adoption.
- If the animal has a “Coming Soon” banner, you are still able to submit an application. This designation usually means the animal is waiting on spay/neuter surgery.
- All animals adopted through WAAL come spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age-appropriate), dewormed, and tested for heartworms (dogs aged 6 months or older) or feline leukemia (cats aged 6 months or older).
- If the animal has an “I’m at Snick’s Cat Cafe” banner, they are available to be visited at Snick’s but still available to put in an application for.
- If you are interested in an animal, please submit an application first; this in no way commits you to a specific animal, or obligates you to adopt.
- Our adoptions team is volunteer-run, and applications may take 3-5 days to process.
- To check the status of your application, please email us at:

- You can view adoption fees, age, breed, sex, and biography by clicking on the individual animal. (Adoption fees may vary depending on the animal.)
